I went in looking for a quote on a part number I knew, which shouldn't have been broken due to normal use. My car was just out of warranty and theses parts were a manufacturing issue. I was charged 200 for a service visit which lasted 2 hours. I'm happy to pay for using someone's time, but 2 hours to give a quote on a part number I knew, in a location you can see by opening the door seems egregious. I understand I signed the service request to look at the car, but didn't realize that gave them authority to look over the whole car. I really just wanted the quote to fix the door, or possibly get the parts fixed under warranty as they shouldn't of been broken due to normal use. I agree in having specialty techs for EVs and Diesel but I disagree in charging the customer extra to have an EV tech look at a part on a door on an EV. These specialty techs should be called in on EV powertrain or controls not basic car issues like suspension, doors, tires, etc. I know this won't change anything, just trying to let you know my frustrations and why I never go to dealers for repairs. For this repair I thought the dealer would in good faith at least look at the broken part without charging me.

Everything was fine except they forgot to tell me that I needed a new air cleaner for the engine.

Explained everything so I could understand showed us everything about our car. Said if we needed help understanding our vehicle to back and he would help us very relaxing.

“Anyone can sell you a car” - well, maybe not just anyone because I’ve noticed they Bob Grimm Chevrolet tends to be the only Chevy store in the Peoria area that carries the latest and greatest, harder-to-find models, such as the Trax when it first came out, and the EVs that I just purchased. Love that!! What’s even more to love is that their sales team is very much customer focused. They really do se to care about you for the long term. The dealer that located much closer to me where I’ve purchased several times before and would rather purchase if I can, not only has these rarer models, but their staff seems like a revolving door and it’s hard to maintain a relationship like that. Not so at Grimm… my sales guy although quite young has been there since I first experienced interest in a new model (that I didn’t end up buying) to now that I made my first purchase, and I suspect he’ll be around for a long time. This means a lot to me because I know he will personally care if I am satisfied. Greet products, sincere customer support, and not to mention very competitive prices… well worth the extra 30 minute drive for me!! Keep up the great work… I look forward to doing more business with you in the future and will gladly recommend to my friends!!

I have been coming to Grimm for several years. The work and customer service is unremarkable! Love seeing a friendly staff! I would definitely recommend Bob Grimm for all my service needs. I have been very pleased with my vehicles that we have purchased through Bob Grimm as well.

My wife is very ill and I'm her caregiver, I had a small issue with my Colorado and I contacted the service department and explained my situation and asked if someone could possibly come to my home and pick up my vehicle and get it repaired. They were very accommodating and arrived on my designated day and time picked up my vehicle and while it was at the dealership they also fix a recall for me. Returning my Colorado to my home later that afternoon. I could not thank you enough. Great customer service. Thank you very much for your understanding.

I greatly appreciated the ability to get in right away on something that was urgent for me. That said, the $150 diagnostic fee and $85 labor charge seemed egregious for changing out a battery.

Not just this experience but every experience that I’ve had with Bob Grim has been pretty amazing right down to when I purchased my truck. They made sure that I had exactly what I needed for the work that my fiancé’s business is doing. Anytime that I’ve needed service on my truck. They’ve been able to either fit me in the same day or schedule an appointment shortly thereafter the people that I’ve worked with have always been very informative and didn’t try selling me stuff that I didn’t need. They’ve always been very customer, friendly and very knowledgeable about their job. All in all I would give them a 10 out of 10 on customer service, product, and the family friendly environment while either waiting on your service or even if you decide to have them take you home while they’re working on your vehicle and come back and pick you up to return you to the dealership outstanding business to work with.
