Chevrolet Bolt vs Volt: What's The Difference?

The Chevrolet Bolt and Chevrolet Volt are two of the most recent electric vehicles from Chevrolet. While each share similarities, they are not interchangeable. Both EVs are offered in hatchback configurations with modern, comfortable interiors. The Volt functions as a PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle) meaning it has an electric only motor which can power the Volt without the usage of gasoline for a certain range. Once the electric charge has been depleted, the Volt can switch over to a hybrid power source, meaning it does use gasoline but very efficiently as most hybrids do. The Volt has been a great solution for those leery about an electric only vehicle in the event they need to travel a far distance and may not be able to find a charging station, for this reason the fact that the Volt can be refueled at a gas station has been a comfort for some drivers. Alternatively, the Bolt is an EV (Electric Vehicle) only and uses exclusively electric power and cannot be fueled using gasoline. While the Bolt has a significantly longer electric only range than the Volt does, the Bolt can only travel a certain distance before needing to be charged at a charging station.

Both vehicles offer a high level of technology and efficiency. It is important to note that the Volt is no longer in production and can no longer be purchased new.
